It’s that time of year, the coyote pups have been born and the female coyotes are up and out of the den. Coyotes can be very aggressive this time of year defending their territory, especially areas close to the den site. If you are out with your dog make sure the dog is leashed and under your immediate control. Never let your dog chase after a coyote as this will result in your friend being injured or worse. Stay vigilant for the appearance of a coyote and protect your pet. Reverse your direction of travel, do not run or turn your back to the coyote.
